During the first three weeks of May, the traditional London Store Harrods will highlight food and wine from Argentina. The promotion will take place at the Harrods Food Halls and will be advertised with banners and screens in the whole store but mainly at Gate 5 on Hans Place.

The Argentine products which will be on display for sale are: beef, Patagonian lamb, wines, olives, olive oil, preserves in olive oil, ready meals, “mate”, tea and other infusions, “dulce de leche”, sweet potato and quince jelly, organic marmalades, crackers, “alfajores”, “chimichurri” (barbecue sauce), fruit, chutney, oils and vinegars, honey and the like.

Several of the 16 restaurants at Harrods Argentine will serve Argentine meat and wines. A cook from Restaurant La Cabaña in Argentina will exhibit meat and cold cuts at one of the stands at the Food Hall and will show the customers the different meat cuts used in Argentina to make barbecues. A baker will make “facturas” (typical pastries). At the Georgian restaurant tea will be served on May 5 and 12 while the Orchestra Los Mareados will play and dancers Ivan Arandia and Natalia Thorn and Los Ocampo will dance. Also on May 16 there will be an Argentine Food & Wine evening.
