Recital en el South Bank

Laburo de 9 a 5 as usual. Bea me dijo que tenía entradas para ir al recital que aparece más abajo asi que ahi fui !

Después me fui a casa un rato y parti al South Bank, donde era el recital. El lugar estaba casi lleno y en su mayoría había latinos, sobre todo gente de Embajadas ! También nos encontramos con África que había ligado entradas...el concierto estuvo bueno, era ella sola con su guitarra, sin escenografía ni nada, entre tema y tema presentaba lo que iba a tocar, muy bueno.

Luz Maria Bobadilla is one of the most talented young classical guitarists in Paraguay. Her Purcell Room debut is yet another achievement in her successful international career. Her programme introduces the colourful sounds of the rich musical heritage of South America, expressed in the harmonies and rhythms of popular polcas and guaranias from the guitar repertoire of Paraguay. Bobadilla plays with an exquisite style, combining original and classical styles in her performances of Jose Asuncion Flore's colourful guarania 'India' and Andres Bobadilla's typical Paraguayan polca 'Rancho Elsa'. The romantic music of Agustin Barrios Mangore completes the Paraguayan theme, with 'La catedral', 'Gran tremolo', 'Villancico de Navidad' and the famous 'Danza paraguaya'. The concert also includes rhythms from the Caribbean in Ernesto Cordero's 'Canto negroriano' and 'Danza del cimarron'. And finally there's an original contribution from the Russian composer Alexander Vinitsky with his Jazz Suite, which uses Latin rhythms.
